EMM Leadership Council

Description

The EMM Leadership Council is a program founded by Edmond Mobile Meals to create awareness of social issues and inspire young leaders to serve their community.

 This training program addresses fundamental leadership skills associated with nonprofits, specifically those who are serving at-risk individuals. The interactive sessions embody the leadership qualities EMM looks for in their volunteers: collaboration, adaptability, and compassion.

Program Details

  • Length - Six session training program beginning in October 2017 and concluding in April 2018
  • Meetings - Scheduled for the first Tuesday of each month from 4:30pm to 6:00pm
  • Acceptance – sophomore, junior, and senior level students at local public, private and home based schools may be nominated by a high school representative or may be self-nominated with a recommendation letter.

Application Process

Applications can be found on-line at edmondmobilemeals.org.  Students must submit application to [email protected] or deliver to 25 W. 3rd Street, Edmond, OK  73003 no later than September 15th.  Invitations to selected students will be sent by September 22th

Participating students gain

6. Recommendation letters from community leaders for college applications

7. Experience on a nonprofit board as a non-voting member
