Position: Assistant Director
Hours: Part Time (25 hours per week, M-F 9am-2pm)

Job Duties: Work closely with and assist the Executive Director in most matters related to operations of Edmond Mobile Meals, with special emphasis on coordinating driver volunteers, volunteer and client relations, and bookkeeping.  

  • Provide client services that includes intake, making changes to service, listening to concerns, & placing new clients on routes.
  • Coordinate the pick-up and delivery of meals and the training of driver volunteers so that meals are delivered in a timely and safe manner.
  • Scheduling all driver volunteers including finding substitutes when needed.  Training new driver volunteers. Assist in recruiting new volunteers.
  • Map and manage delivery routes.
  • Bookkeeping to include accounts payable, accounts receivable and sending out of monthly client statements.
  • Communications. Creating and distributing monthly volunteer newsletter (Mailchimp), quarterly client newsletter, website updates and social media.
  • Oversee monthly Regional Food Bank and Client Birthday orders & distribution.
  • Assist with grant writing and other fundraising efforts.
  • Assist with event planning and promotion.
  • Help maintain good records and organize the office.
  • Deliver meals and/or a route occasionally as needed.
  • Work with other employees and key volunteers to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
  • Provide assistance for meal preparation and packaging as needed. 

The Assistant Director may be asked by the Executive Director to perform other duties as needed to assure the day to day success of the program.

Position Qualifications

  • Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, Social Media
  • Ability to use Quickbooks
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent volunteer & client relations
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Dependable and professional
  • Prior nonprofit accounting, HR or volunteer relations experience a plus
  • Experience with various donor, meal, and volunteer software programs is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred and 2 years prior office experience
