Cindy GQ: How long have you been a volunteer with Edmond Mobile Meals & what do you do?
A: I have volunteered for EMM for 10 years!  I was a driver for MANY years and then started serving on the board about 5 years ago.  I am currently Board Chairman at EMM through the end of this year and I love it!!

Q. What is your favorite thing about Edmond Mobile Meals?
A: I love the mission of EMM... to serve and care for the homebound.  I also LOVE the people..the staff, board members, clients and other volunteers I have had the opportunity to know through the years.

Q: What is the funniest/strangest story that you have from volunteering at Edmond Mobile Meals?
A: WELL...its a little crazy but one time when I was delivering meals with a 15 year old friend , we took the meal inside to a client who was mostly bedridden.  We walked down a long hall and when we entered the room...the client was completely covered with a sheet and lying perfectly still.  As we stood there trying to understand the moment ...she pulled back the sheet and yelled "SURPRISE!!"  We both jumped a mile but the 3 of us had a good laugh together.

Q: If your life had a theme song, what song would you pick?  Why?

A: James Taylor’s “Secret Of Life”   The song talks about enjoying the passage of time, opening up your heart, trying to just enjoy the ride and not try too hard.

Q: What is your idea of the perfect day?
A: I guess I like all kinds of days full of different activities as long as they are spent with friends, family and loved ones.

Q: What is your favorite Spring or Summer meal?
A: Grilled salmon with a huge salad and a nice glass of sauvigon blanc!
